Wine-making
process: The grapes, hand-gathered around
mid-September, are separated from their
stalks and gently pressed. The must ferments
at a given, constant, checked 17° C
temperature. The maturation takes place
in steel vats on the fine dregs for about
4 months. The malolactic fermentation does
not occur.
Color: Pale yellow.
Bouquet: The fragrance is light and
persisting, it reminds honeycombs, white
pulp fruit (peaches and apricots) and bread
crust. A good taste-smelling quality.
Flavor:
How to serve it: Serve it at 10-12°
C in white wine glasses.
What to savor it with: The excellent
structure and the good acidity make this
wine excellent for aperitifs and suggest
savoring it with warty venus, boiled fish
starters, delicate first courses and soups,
also spicy.
Useful information: This vine was
created by Mr Luigi Manzoni, the Principal
of the Viticulture and Enology School in
Conegliano and a renowned ampeplography
expert at the beginning of the last century.
It originates in hybridization between Riesling
Renano and White Pinot vines. The number,
which characterizes and differentiates this
wine from the several hybrids made by Mr
Manzoni, derives from the exact position
in the vineyard it was obtained from, the
thirteenth vine in the sixth row. It is
the most famous and successful among Manzoni's
hybrids. This vine was created for our land
and climate and therefore it is here that
it can give excellent results. Thanks to
the thickness of the vines, to the low production
for each foot and to hand-gathering, delayed
for as long as possible, Manzoni Villa Brunesca
hybrid combines the structure and the delicate
nuances typical of the great Riesling Renani
with the typically fruity and elegant fragrance
of White Pinot, which results in an extremely
pleasant and gratifying product lending
itself to good aging. |
